So I can't stop thinking about Chicago
how it acted like it had a problem understanding art
maybe not so much understanding it
as it did playing nice with it
especially vulgar anti-aesthetic dada
that tends to be far too abrasive for that
(clowne) conservative city as a whole
I now realize that art isn't always meant
for public consumption
unless of course the artist explains beforehand
that what they intend to share is a piece of art
The Waif (oh story of my life)
the waif
naive and susseptable in demeanor
was becoming undone by the unscrupulous ways
of Chicago
she drifted along, trying to find a home for herself
enduring hardships until she was rescued
I have found my home
I no longer require a rescue
and I am no longer naive
